Review Another terrific wine from this vineyard, following the superb '07. May be a bit less flamboyant, but with better structure, and equally ageable. Dry and full bodied and fairly tannic, it shows powerful cherry and raspberry fruit, smoked meat, sautéed wild mushroom and sandalwood flavors, liberally spiced. Drinkable now, and should develop through 2014, at least.

Review "... this very generously filled and beautifully oaked effort is a serious wine that is built for aging. Freestone is emerging as an important player in California Pinot Noir..."
